Father’s Day Activities
Father's Day is June 17th this year, and now is the time to starting thinking of interesting activities for celebrating your father on his special day. Your father has done so much for you, so be sure to thank him and have fun with him this Father's Day.
One activity your dad is sure to enjoy is opening a special gift just for him. Personalized Father's Day gifts make a lasting impression, because they show that you care. Father's Day gift baskets are fun to put together, and more fun to watch your father open.
The gift basket can be focused around an activity that your father enjoys. If he is a sports enthusiast, and loves baseball for example, give him a great sports-themed basket, which might include a baseball cap for his favorite team, and tickets to go see his team play. Many fathers would be thrilled with a gift that was personalized with items that he would especially enjoy.
It is usually customary to have a special meal in honor of your father for Father's Day. Everyone loves gourmet foods, and your father is no exception, so why not create a gift basket that focuses on some of his favorites. You could put together a basket that features a lovely bottle of wine and snacks that might come from the same region as the wine. If it is a French wine, then perhaps include some caviar, Nicoise olives, French cheeses and some lovely crackers for a super Father's Day gift.
If your father enjoys cooking, you could turn this activity into a great gift basket idea, and create a basket that offers ingredients that could be used for his special meal. You could do a Thai-themed gift basket with lovely rice noodles, Jasmine rice, canned bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, and include a super Thai cookbook, a beautiful bowl and set of chop sticks. Your "foodie" father will flip for this thoughtful gift basket.
Does your father like to work on projects out in the garage or workshop? If so, this activity could be a starting point for a glorious gift basket that features items a handyman would enjoy. An electronic level, for example, is always appreciated, as are some new hand tools, and a selection of nails and screws. A great pair of work gloves will be appreciated, as well as the latest handyman magazine. To make it really

special, put a gift certificate into the basket so your father can redeem your help on a big project, and you can enjoy his hobby together.
Every father has activities that he enjoys, and it can make for a fun Father's Day to spend time with dad doing any of them.
